When Three is Love – #Barathon 2018 Day 3: Three’s a Crowd

a

one is lonely
two is a couple
why do people say
three’s a crowd
when two becomes three
it becomes a tree
a family tree
for the future generations
to see
it is all because
of the
magic number three

a magic number
of possibilities
with a beginning
middle
and end
three
promises
to fulfill
your wishes

one stands alone
two can be divided
things happen in 3’s
just like
three little pigs
three blind mice
three musketeers
three wise men
goldilocks and three bears

three isn’t a crowd
when it comes
to our siblings
it is merrier
to be in three
as there is an option
to think free

three is love
three big cheers
if you agree with me!

  1. First of all, Let me I was simply over-joyed to open this post and see the cute image of the bird family. Thanks for using it. It really made my day. And what a beautiful poem. I was simply struck by these lines

    one stands alone
    two can be divided
    things happen in 3’s

Three can indeed be fun and three is not always a crowd.

Here is my #barathon 3rd post.

    1. Thank you very much for the first comment on this post. U made my day. Yep.. I wanted to turn the prompt towards positivity and hence decided to go off the prompt as when three is not a crowd. Thanks for sharing your thoughts😃

And what to say about your post, loved the perspective of the three.. specially the last thought.. ‘as there is an option to think free’.. we three think free too here.. great thought.. 👍😊😇👌👌👏👏

  3. Three cheers Deepa! I never thought of the third person in a couple’s life as a new beginning and an inclusive addition rather than a divisive factor. What a lovely heartwarming thought .
